Hi, How Are You Mural

Hi, How Are You Mural In Austin

Location: Guadalupe & 21st

It was painted by Texas outcast craftsman and artist Daniel Johnston, who, notwithstanding being rationally sick, has had songs with Tom Waits and Beck and his artwork was showed at the Whitney Museum. The notorious painting was named Jeremiah the Innocent and has been put on child onesies, T-shirts and even iPhone covers. Johnston stated, "It's the way that the town remembers me." The frog painting speaks to plenty of things to individuals in Austin. To me, it's a landmark to when there was no good reason for criticism.
